The Role:

As a Mission Camp Creek Dishwasher, you play a vital role in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen to support the camp's dining operations. Your responsibilities include washing, sanitizing, and organizing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment. By ensuring a hygienic and efficient kitchen environment, you contribute to the overall well-being and positive experience of campers and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment following established hygiene and safety standards.

• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen area, including washing kitchen surfaces, floors, and trash disposal.

• Work closely with kitchen staff to support meal preparation and ensure the availability of clean dishes as needed.

• Follow established cleaning and sanitation procedures to uphold health and safety standards in the kitchen.

• Work efficiently to manage a high volume of dishes during peak meal times

• Report any issues or malfunctions with kitchen equipment to the appropriate staff member for prompt resolution.

• Empty trash cans daily and break down boxes as needed

• Maintain sanitary practices in food preparation, service, and storage

Qualifications:

• Minimum age 18

• Must be able to work in a team environment 

• Must be able to use all equipment provided by department

• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform physically demanding tasks.

• Collaborative attitude with the ability to work well with kitchen staff and other camp employees.

• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.

• Punctuality and a strong sense of responsibility to consistently fulfill scheduled shifts.

• Be able to pass a background check
